Dr. Turchick was the first superintendent of the Glendale School District, serving in this position for 25 years after teaching high school science classes and providing leadership as principal.
Dr. Turchick earned his Ed.D. at Penn State University. He strongly believed in the value of education and hard work, which served him well as he sacrificed to earn his degrees. Education not only became his career but also his legacy. Dr. Turchick was committed to providing the best education and learning opportunities to the students of the Glendale School District by supporting the teachers and administrators while making sure that necessary funding was in place. He believed that education not only aids in the development and growth of children and young adults, but also provides unlimited possibilities for their futures. Dr. Turchick's family is very honored to have this scholarship named after him and is pleased to know that it assists students with college enrollment. He would want the recipient of this award to work hard and make the most of his/her college experience, never taking for granted the value of education. Eligibility Qualifications |
