This scholarship memorializes Zane Irvin, a brilliant young man who was well educated and outgoing. He participated in after school activities: football, baseball and basketball. His dedication to athletics did not interfere with his commitment to education as his schoolwork remained a priority. He loved his family and friends and made time to share his outgoing and friendly personality with all.
Zane was an individual who pushed his limits and excelled, never settling for average expectations but rather for the highest level of success possible. For this reason, Zane was named valedictorian of his class at Glendale. The Zane Irvin Memorial Scholarship is awarded to the valedictorian of Glendale's graduating class annually.
